Postictal paralysis is also called Tod’s paralysis.
Definition: Postictal paralysis is weakness that occurs after a seizure. Specifically, it is weakness on the side of the body that is controlled by the side of the brain where the seizure occurred.
For instance, a seizure that affects the left side of the brain will preferentially affect the right side of the body.
