Elijah the prophet Prays for God to show him self.

Before we go into Elijah’s prayer lets just look at the praying in the bible for a while. What is praying is the uplifting the heart to God with whatever motive.

Prayer consists of supplication, whether in the view of material or of spiritual needs; intercession for  people or communities; assertion of righteousness; confession of sin adoration; colloquy with God; vows; thanksgiving & imprecation with blessing. Its not necessarily about the length of the prayer that moves mountains its the belief.

Matthew 21:22 If you believe, you will receive whatever you ask for in prayer.”

Jesus also mentions Faith:

He replied, “Because you have so little faith. Truly I tell you, if you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move. Nothing will be impossible for you.”Matthew 17:20

And it came to pass at the time of the offering of the evening sacrifice, that Elijah the prophet came near, and said,

36…………Lord God of Abraham, Isaac, and of Israel, let it be known this day that thou art God in Israel, and that I am thy servant, and that I have done all these things at thy word.37 Hear me, O Lord, hear me, that this people may know that thou art the Lord God, and that thou hast turned their heart back again.

Amen.
